Horseshoe Theory

An assemblage sculpture of a mechanical horseshoe crab.
I used a mix of wood and epoxy clay for the main body, tail and sting; and a central mechanical composition of plastic & metal pieces, pipes and wires, cogs and watch parts. A tiny blue heart sits in a chamber in the centre, blue drops hang from chains and one of the pipes ends in a tiny glass bottle stained with blue ‘blood’.
