I was thrilled to live paint at The Strand in Melbourne’s CBD as part of their Lunar New Year celebration. I worked on 4 large scale pieces in centre between 10am and 2pm daily from Tuesday the 29th of Jan to Tuesday the 5th of Feb 2019. At the end of the campaign the works were auctioned to support Sisterworks, a wonderful organisation assisting women who are migrants, asylum seekers or refugees to become financially independent and happily settled in Australia.

My agency put on an exciting event – a group of artists were given a set of materials and an 8 hour slot in which to create a piece of art with those materials. My agency curated a mammoth 3 month long show at NGV Studio to coincide with the display of Tony Hallam’s famous personal skateboard collection. Original artwork on skate decks was up from the 12th of Nov 2011 to the 5th of Feb 2012, and also involved the Three Sixty Project (who supplied the decks) to help raise money for their great program. I painted live in the space for three days from 10am-10pm with Makatron from Thursday to Saturday (December the 15-17th 2011).

PangeaSeed, a Japanese Shark Conservation Organisation held a group show entitled ‘Sink or Swim’ to raise awareness and funds to help stop the barbaric and cruel practise of shark fin harvesting. This show was held at Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco, it was the first time my work has been shown on the west coast of USA. Here is a set of photos taken at the opening night.

Along with many other local and international artists I took part in Toy to the World, an auction to raise funds for the Victorian AIDS Council. We transformed a vinyl bear toy into a unique piece of art! My bear won 3rd place in the competition for creativity. You can see images of the entries on Invurt here.
